We’re looking for a detail oriented individual with a data driven mindset to come join our engineering team that supports our data integrity processes.

• As a Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, serving as a key contributor to solution design, development and release with a primary focus on building solutions with the Mendix platform
• You will report to and work closely with a Team Lead for ensuring proper application of coding standards, ensuring our solutions stand the test of time (robust, supportable, maintainable)
• As a member of the team, your day-to-day responsibilities will include participation in daily standups, user story refinement, and tuning those stories into highly functional, highly scalable deliverables in the Mendix platform
• Partner with key stakeholders from the product and business teams as well as other software developers to ensure delivery of the right solution
• In addition to developing and maintaining applications in Mendix, there are increasing opportunities to flex your non-Mendix muscles across our technical portfolio (AWS, nodejs, java, and more)

How you will grab our attention:

• 2+ years in software development
• Proficient with Mendix platform
• Mendix Academy Intermediate or Advanced certified
• Strong organizational and process management skills
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Agile development practices (Scrum, Kanban)
• Built software at scale
• Comfortable in Java
• Kafka experience
• Experience with Microservices
• Who enjoys working on complex, high visibility projects
• Who feels comfortable diving deep into a complicated code base and architecture
• Who is focused on small details as well as can see the big picture
• Who insists on understanding the “why”, driving innovation into everything they do
• Who likes to squash inefficiency when they see it
• Who demonstrates high levels of accountability

The starting base pay for this position is $80,000 CAD per year in our lowest geographic cost of living market and is dependent upon many factors such as location, experience, skills, and training. Base pay is only one part of the total compensation package offered to employees in recognition of their hard work and is determined within a range to allow for growth and development within a role.
