Updates

  • AI has quietly moved from curiosity to daily reality inside Canadian HR teams—and the shift is happening faster than anyone expected. At a recent forum in Montreal, nearly every hand in the room went up when asked who’s already using it. Just one year ago, that number barely cracked 15 percent. So what changed? What’s unfolding isn’t just a tech trend—it’s a leadership test. HR isn’t just reacting to AI anymore. It’s being called to lead it. But how do you turn a wave of interest into meaningful action without losing what makes work human?

  • Last week in Vancouver, we partnered with Hacking HR for an evening that wasn’t about presentations or pitches. It was about real conversations—the kind that happens when you bring together people who care deeply about the future of work and give them the space to exchange ideas openly. The discussions were rich and thought-provoking. AI’s growing role in HR was at the forefront—how to adopt it with intention, avoid bias, and ensure it enhances rather than replaces human decision-making. We talked about the balancing act between productivity and employee well-being, the shift of HR from a support function to a strategic driver, and the leadership qualities that will define the workplaces of tomorrow. What stood out most was the energy in the room. There was no agenda beyond learning from one another, no pressure to have all the answers, just a shared commitment to making work better, navigating change with clarity, and ensuring that as technology evolves, human connection remains at the center. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us shared their perspectives and helped create an evening that left us all thinking.

  • We love supporting organizations that create real impact in people’s lives. This year, we’re proud to back Fondation des jeunes de la DPJ, an organization dedicated to giving young people in Quebec’s child protection system the confidence and support they need to believe in their future. On top of advocating for them, the foundation takes action — stepping in with critical funding to meet urgent, personalized needs that go beyond government support. They open doors, provide essential resources, and guide these young people toward brighter opportunities. A huge thank you to the Fondation des jeunes de la DPJ team for the incredible work they do every day! #WorkleapCares #SupportingYouth #CommunityImpact

We had the pleasure of co-hosting a dinner in Toronto with The People People Group, and it was one of those nights that reminded us why we do what we do. The best part? It didn’t feel like an event—it felt like a gathering of like-minded people having real conversations about the challenges, opportunities, and future of HR. No pitches, no pressure—just an open space to connect, share, and learn from one another. The discussions flowed effortlessly, covering everything from the behind-the-scenes barriers to making HR tech decisions to the real workplace challenges teams are navigating today. The energy was inspiring, the insights were invaluable, and by the end of the night, it was clear: these moments matter. A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring this evening to life—from those who set the stage to those who created such a warm, welcoming space and ensured every detail ran seamlessly. If last week was any indication, we need to do this more often—more gatherings, more conversations, more opportunities to connect in meaningful ways. Because when the right people come together, incredible things happen. #ThePeoplePeopleGroup #HRTech #BetterWorkplaces #MeaningfulConnections
