The Faculty of Land and Food Systems uses student-centred learning to educate new generations of scientists equipped to solve the most fundamental issues faced by society ⁠— those focused around human health, a sustainable food supply, and the responsible use of finite land and water resources.     Research Manager at Dairy Education and Research Centre, UBC

    We are hiring! The UBC Dairy Education and Research Centre is located in Agassiz, BC, and milks approximately 250 cows with 6 robotic milkers. We are looking for a team member to our farm staff who has experience with or is willing to learn robotic milking, feeding animals using a TMR system, and operating cropping equipment.  Prior experience in these areas would be an asset but we are willing to train someone who is a good fit. UBC Dairy is a research-focused, fast-paced environment where farm staff support and collaborate with national and international researchers, graduate, and undergraduate students.   • Meet Parisa, a Research Analyst who combined her passion for health, nutrition and research. Her journey is a reminder that career paths aren't always linear—diverse experiences can open doors to fulfilling career opportunities. While pursuing her undergraduate degree in UBC Global Resource Systems, Parisa gained hands-on research experience as a Research Analyst at the Centre for Gender and Sexual Health Equity. After graduation, she leveraged her strengths as a legal writer at Deloitte before earning her Master of Science at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine—bringing her back to her passion for health and nutrition.
