  • Please be advised that there is a Special Weather Statement in effect for all of Renfrew County. We appreciate your understanding and support as our Public Works crews necessarily pivot from typical spring maintenance activities to respond to this weather event. In preparation for this spring snow/ice weather event, the Town is reminding residents of the following: • Are you ready? To help ensure your safety and the safety of your family, now is a good time prepare your emergency kit. • Safety is a priority for our Public Works team, and we will be out in full force. Conditions will be hazardous, and residents are reminded to give yourself extra time and adjust to the conditions of the roads. • Observe the winter parking ban still in effect until March 31st, 2025. • Exercise caution, especially with children and pets, when around waterways. High flows, melting ice or other factors could be dangerous for such users as boaters, anglers and swimmers but flooding is not expected. • Report a downed wire or outage to Hydro One: https://ow.ly/EGPz50VqL7t • Downed trees on roads can be called into our Public Works emergency line at 343-429-6435 • Residents are encouraged to follow river reporting. Find the latest flood forecast information here: https://ow.ly/xTkT50VqL7s • Stay informed. Any updates will be posted here and the municipal newsfeed.

  • The Arnprior + District Museum welcomes the world to enter our new online portal and explore the 7000+ community belongings we care for. Thanks to the hard work of our previous curator, Janet Carlile, our Collections Coordinator Elizabeth Richard, a valiant team of digitizing staff and volunteers, and a remarkable grant from the Museum Assistance Program Digital Access to Heritage component offered by the Government of Canada, our ability to prepare for the future via collaborative study of the past is secured. We will be working to improve our online database over the next few years and invite you to connect with us to provide advice and guidance to help your exploration of community belongings improve. This project has been made possible in part by the Government of Canada.

  • World Water Day was this past Saturday, March 22nd. Although this year’s theme is on Glacier Preservation, the day is also a reminder to recognize and honour the operators who are responsible for bringing the water we use everyday to our taps. This dedicated day celebrates their continuous efforts working around the clock at facilities to ensure clean, safe water and helps strengthens the connection between communities and their operators. Thank you to the Town of Arnprior’s Waterworks Staff and Operators.
