"Ontario is the place for opportunity, bold ideas and future makers — built and backed here," a sentiment echoed by TechAlliance CEO Christina Fox as she attends Ontario Centre of Innovation DiscoveryX alongside leaders of #Ontario RICs. The lucrative future of robotics through the circular model of simulation, human-reinforced training, and autonomy as well as the exciting uses of AI in mathematics, healthcare, and education were key areas of inspiration and discussion, with great sessions from NVIDIA's Aaron Erickson and Dr. Geoffrey Hinton (the godfather of AI), among others. 💡 "200,000 people died last year in North America from incorrect diagnosis. 40% of times, doctors get the diagnosis right. 50% of times AI gets it right. Today 60% of doctors plus AI get a diagnosis correct, but in two years that will be so improved that health regulations applied to therapeutic trials will eliminate human trials entirely because of super intelligence applied to human health conditions." - Geoffrey Hinton #CDNtech #DiscoveryX

Christina Fox, CEO at TechAlliance, shares her key takeaways from this mornings state of the economy keynote and Q&A given by Pierre Cleroux, Chief Economist at BDC, hosted at London Chamber of Commerce: ➡ The economy will have slow growth because of the tariffs, but not a recession. Consumer confidence has dropped, and so has spending as a result. ➡ Lower interest rates should stimulate the economy, forecasting modest growth for Canada’s GDP. ➡ Regarding cost of living, prices on goods will not reduce, so creating good jobs is vital. ➡ Greater support is needed for entrepreneurs. TechAlliance is here to help Canada's innovators. Visit our tariff resources page for guidance (https://lnkd.in/g6aTEsyN) and connect with your venture growth advisor to discuss mitigation strategies and for tailored support: https://lnkd.in/gfGfyrPE
