A program of the Fraser Basin Council that works to advance the uptake of electric vehicles in British Columbia.
About us
Plug In BC Collaborative: Plug In BC is a program of the Fraser Basin Council, working with government, industry, community groups, and institutions. It provides information and support around plug-in vehicles and charging throughout British Columbia. CleanBC Go Electric programs we administer: === The CleanBC Go Electric Fleets program aims to support fleets in their transition to zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) by providing training, advisory services, and financial supports. B.C. fleets can access rebates for ZEV readiness assessments, infrastructure assessments and upgrades as well as the purchase and installation of charging infrastructure to support the future of their fleets. For a limited time, eligible fleets can access enhanced rebates for the Go Electric Fleets program. === The Specialty Use Vehicle Incentive program provides rebates on electric motorcycles, utility trucks, buses & more. The purchaser or lessee of an eligible vehicle can receive money back by applying to the program. === The CleanBC Go Electric Public Charger Program aims to fill current gaps in the public DCFC network in B.C. such as Indigenous communities, rural and northern areas, and city centers experiencing long queues for DCFCs due to high ZEV uptake. === EV advisory services are available to Workplaces and Multi-unit residential buildings with shared parking garages in British Columbia. Detached houses, duplexes, rowhouses and townhouse units with individual private parking areas are not eligible for the EV Advisor service. EV advisors can help walk you through the process of getting electric vehicle charging in your building by providing lunch & learn sessions, presentations at AGMs/SGMs, or webinars for decision makers.

Plug In BC is a program of the Fraser Basin Council. We look forward to working with Janet Austin as our new FBC Chair!
We are excited to announce that Janet Austin — who recently completed seven years of service as Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia and is now a private citizen — is the new Chair of the Fraser Basin Council. In addition to her service as Lt. Gov., Janet comes to FBC with a wealth of community leadership service, including 15 years as Chief Executive Officer of the YWCA Metro Vancouver, one of the province’s largest and most diversified non-profits. She succeeds Colin Hansen, FBC’s Chair since 2014, whose earlier public service included the roles of Deputy Premier and Minister of Finance for British Columbia. The FBC Directors and staff thank him for his excellent leadership and service to the Council these many years. We now greatly look forward to working with our new Chair Janet Austin as we bring people together to advance sustainability in B.C. https://lnkd.in/gNecBsCg

Thank you to the exhibitors, panelists, presenters and sponsors who helped us host attendees from across Canada at Zero-Emission Fleets: Reconnect 2025. The vehicles on display demonstrated the breadth of ZEVs being used in B.C., from electric garbage trucks to EV ambulance conversions, electric mowers to medium and heavy-duty haulers. Panel discussions covered recent case studies in MHD fleet electrification, new steps taken on EV infrastructure, a fireside chat about energy projects in Indigenous communities, and a power-hour presentation about vehicle-to-grid systems. Our staff will be following up with attendees to get feedback about the event, and there is more coverage on the way with stories and interviews to be published on the Go Electric Fleet Show. https://lnkd.in/gX7RuSEh Fraser Basin Council, Electra Consulting Canada, Electric Mobility Canada

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Zero-Emission Fleets: Reconnect 2025. Our presenters, panelists and exhibitors brought case studies, insights, updates, and examples of cutting edge ZEVs from e-cargo bikes to MHD trucks. Throughout the day, we heard inspiring stories about breaking down barriers to ZEV fleet vehicles and ultimately reducing emissions in B.C. Our team looks forward to hosting you again next year, but you won't have to wait long for more ZEV fleet content. Stay tuned for interviews and stories from the Go Electric Fleet Show.
