👋 Meet Franchisee Jennifer Weldrick! With 16 years of hands-on experience at the Oxford Learning St. Thomas location, first as a teacher and then as a franchisee, Jennifer Weldrick is excited to join the London community at the London Bostwick Oxford Learning location, which was formerly known as London South—the very first Oxford Learning Centre! 🍎 Initially looking for a career in teaching with the school board, Jennifer accepted a teaching position at Oxford Learning St. Thomas, and the rest is history. With her background in teaching and special education and long-time knowledge of the Oxford Learning system, Jennifer knows firsthand that the Oxford Learning philosophy and approach are the key to helping students succeed. Jennifer says that regardless of how long she has been with Oxford Learning, working with kids still brings her the same joy it did 16 years ago. 💬“I am excited to provide quality programming to London Bostwick and London South students. I want to provide the extra level of support, programming, and customized tutoring that only OLC can offer,” she says. ⌛️ As the owner of two of the longest-running Oxford Learning locations, Jennifer looks forward to playing a part in continuing the legacy that began back in 1984. “It’s a huge honour to be the franchisee at the original location where it all began four decades ago.” 📍With new leadership and a new name, the future looks bright for Oxford Learning London Bostwick students. Meet Jennifer, Education Director Kathy Naylor, and the rest of the team at the newly renamed and renovated London Bostwick location at E1-1021 Wonderland Rd S. 519.473.0375 or londonbostwick@oxfordlearning.com.

March break is almost here! For students, it’s a chance to forget about school and focus on fun. But, breaks from school—even short ones—can impact learning, causing learning momentum, routines, and school habits to slip. With the end of the school year around the corner, maintaining good school habits is especially important. A little holiday learning keeps kids on track academically, helps them maintain good school habits, and makes the transition back to school post-break much smoother. For school support all year long, contact an Oxford Learning location near you. https://lnkd.in/gdaheFz

What’s the most important school year for students? You might instinctively think of Grade 12, but the answer may actually surprise you: it's Grade 3. Grade 3 is often considered a pivotal year in a child’s academic journey. Studies have shown that students who aren't reading at a proficient level by this grade are at a higher risk of facing academic challenges later on, especially in high school. This is also the year when students make a critical shift—from learning to read to reading to learn. Find out more about why Grade 3 is so important and how you can support young learners in developing strong reading skills: https://lnkd.in/gD5uuqeh

Meet Andrea Calloway and Dave Gervais, owners of Oxford Learning Caledonia! 👫 Andrea and Dave are seasoned educators with experience in public and special education, both here and in Kuwait. They lived and taught there for four years before returning to Canada to raise their two daughters. 🗺️ Dave and Andrea have first-hand experience with Oxford Learning after enrolling their daughter in the program during elementary school. Noting a need in their community and wanting to combine their passion for education with a love of helping struggling students succeed led them to consider the Oxford Learning business opportunity in 2020. 📚 Given Oxford Learning’s 40-year success rate, focus on discovering students' academic and cognitive strengths and needs, and teaching methods and programs proven to make a lifelong change for learners, they knew that Oxford Learning was their best option. 💬 “We are excited about the journey, becoming a bigger part of our community, and continuing our learning as new owners.” 🏫 As the operators of the first Oxford Learning location in Haldimand County, Andrea and Dave look forward to creating a space for students and staff where learning is fun, mistakes are celebrated, and where they can positively impact students and their families. 📍 Visit Andrea, Dave, and the entire team at Oxford Learning Calendonia at 172 Argyle St N Unit. 10, Caledonia, ON | (289) 276-8793 | caledonia@oxfordlearning.com
