The Metabolomics Innovation Centre is Canada's national platform for metabolomics research, services and bioinformatics.
About us
The Metabolomics Innovation Centre (TMIC) is Canada’s national platform for metabolomics research, training, and services. Metabolomics is the study of the complete set of small molecule metabolites found within a biological sample, and provides a comprehensive snapshot of the metabolic processes occurring at any given moment. TMIC’s mission is to catalyze innovation and translate metabolomics from the laboratory to real-world use by creating novel technologies, providing cutting edge services, sharing data resources and equipping the next generation of scientists and users. With 8 partner laboratories across the country, TMIC’s network of investigators, collaborators and clients have access to over $26 million in research and bioinformatics infrastructure. TMIC is a single-source destination for metabolomics expertise, services and technologies for characterizing thousands of metabolites and lipids in the most complex biological samples. TMIC’s Research Hotel provides trainees with the opportunity to develop unique skill sets using multiple technologies.
