🚢 We’re proud to share that McAsphalt Marine Transportation had the honour of opening the 2025 St. Lawrence Seaway navigation season, with our ATB Everlast/Norman McLeod leading the way as the first vessel through.   As part of the ceremony, McAsphalt’s Captain Keith Bromley and Chief Engineer Vladislav Kardach were presented with the Seaway’s traditional Top Hat — a longstanding recognition awarded to the crew trusted to open the season.   David LeMay, President of McAsphalt, spoke at the event, sharing what this moment represents — for our team, our industry, and the many communities that rely on this corridor:   “For the 357,000 people across North America who depend on it, this work is not just a job. It’s a commitment. A legacy. ✨ Improving Chip Seals ✨ Justin Suda, our Innovation and Product Development Engineer, takes us through a recent project we executed near Acheson, Alberta during the 2024 season. By providing a specialized emulsion to the project to be placed on top of a new chip seal, we have increased the effectiveness of the road while simultaneously reducing the potential damage to vehicles caused by loose chips. This approach not only improves the road's durability but also prioritizes the safety and satisfaction of drivers.
