The IAF Forestry WG meeting was held last Friday. Members shared PEFC scheme updates, EU RED II and RED III-related information, and SFM alignment. A guest speaker was invited to talk about how Data sovereignty can drive sustainable outcomes.  #Accreditation #IAF

The IAF Validation and Verification Working Group met on 03 April. Members discussed updates on relevant ISO standards related to Validation and Verification, such as ISO's first international standard on net zero and ISO 14019-4 standards related to principles and requirements for bodies validating and verifying sustainability information, among others. Members were updated on the status of adding a new IAF MLA scope for carbon footprint of products. #Accreditation #IAF

The IAF User Advisory Committee met on 02 April, hearing updates from the IAF MLA Committee and Technical Committee on schemes, as well as a presentation on benchmarking voluntary third-party certification schemes from UNIDO. Members discussed common objectives for the Stakeholder Committee of the Global Accreditation Cooperation Incorporated. #Accreditation #IAF
