For the past 7 weeks, GlucoSense has been proud to participate in Hack the World! Through this program hosted by Toronto Metropolitan University's Innovation Boost Zone and partners, we didn’t just develop our non-invasive glucose monitoring concept, but we also grew as entrepreneurs. Here’s what we learned: 1. Tech is only half the battle — launching a product means thinking beyond the device: operations, partnerships, regulations, and education all matter. 2. Validate everything — when changes are made, gather feedback early, often, and without bias. 3. Don’t assume — users will surprise you. Design for inclusivity, not a narrow persona. 4. Aim high in outreach — engagement will drop off. Plan for it, and build a wide base of interest. A huge thank-you to our mentor, Paul Hacking, for his thoughtful guidance and insight throughout the program. Your support made a real impact on our growth. And thank you to Science Discovery Zone, Social Ventures Zone, Clean Energy Zone, and Experience Ventures for equipping us with the tools, funding, and community to move GlucoSense forward. The work doesn’t stop here.
