  • Collaborating with Fort McMurray Airport Authority, we brought together 19 marketing and communications leaders across 13 non-profit and media organizations in FMWB. Since kicking-off the FMWB Marketing Roundtable in September 2024, information sharing amongst organizations involved has increased, cross-organizational promotions for events and programming are reaching larger audiences, and it's become a space for marketing and communications professionals to discuss their campaigns, processes, and software. Yesterday's session welcomed local CBC Journalist, Dennis Kovtun to provide insights on how we can pitch ideas to better tell our region's stories. Marketing and communications leaders can help share FMWB's narrative. We're so grateful to all of the professionals who continue to contribute this conversation.

  • Fort McMurray Wood Buffalo is so fortunate to have film and media businesses like Hexwave Media. We're excited to work with Matt and all of the local film community to attract even more of these projects to FMWB. Last summer was a win for the entire region - great work Matt!

Last year I got to work on the biggest production of my life and one of the biggest ever in the region. I helped recruit over 40 local talent for on screen roles and others to work on the crew. We got local businesses to feed the cast and crew. And regional services like Economic Development helped bring this large scale project here. Here's what the 1st Assistant Director on the project said about working in the region and with Hexwave Media.
