 At Extendicare Lakefield, 99-year-old resident Arnold celebrated 80 years of service to the Royal Canadian Legion. A ceremonial celebration was held in the home with visitors from Branch 77 of the Royal Canadian Legion and Peterborough-Kawartha MP, Michelle Ferreri MP, joining the festivities. Congratulations on 80 years and thank you for your service, Arnold!

 Residents at Extendicare London are supporting their community through the Meaningful Menus program. From planning menus to preparing meals, they are making a tangible impact by donating food to local initiatives fighting food insecurity. This program fosters connection, purpose, and community spirit, one meal at a time.

March is #NationalSocialWorkMonth! Social workers help long-term care residents and their families with mental health and well-being as well as supporting them with building and understanding goals of care. At our London, Ontario home, Social Worker Jennefer put together a display to educate families, visitors and residents about the impact Social Work can have on the quality of life of long-term care residents, and how she supports their care.
