We’re excited to see more widespread adoption of Digital Twins across the industry in the coming years. Matthew McGrath’s presentation on the Coxwell Bypass Tunnel was equally fascinating—an incredible deep dive into the design and construction of one of the City of Toronto’s most ambitious undertakings. Beyond the lectures, we appreciated the strong message around driving innovation and the call for young professionals to be advocates for positive change. Our team had a fantastic time attending the Ontario Public Works Association (OPWA)'s International Women’s Day Event 2025, centered on this year’s theme, #AccelerateAction. This theme emphasized the importance of driving meaningful change in gender equity, leadership, and inclusion within public works, encouraging professionals to take proactive steps in shaping a more diverse and equitable industry.   The event featured an impressive lineup of speakers from various sectors, including energy, municipal leadership, and engineering. Discussions covered a range of topics, from breaking barriers in historically male-dominated fields to fostering inclusive workplaces and championing mentorship. Hearing firsthand experiences of resilience, leadership, and innovation was both inspiring and thought-provoking.   We also especially enjoyed the Young Professionals Presentation Series, where emerging leaders shared their experiences and contributions to the industry. Today, we celebrate the incredible achievements of women around the world and recognize the importance of gender diversity in all fields, especially in engineering and STEM. Led by Vanessa Grande, our EnVision Consultants Risk Assessment (RA) team including Tiffany Waters and Paul H. Cheung predicts adverse health effects on people, plants, and animals where there is contaminated soil or groundwater. We offer solutions to mitigate these effects and help determine remediation criteria, evaluate remedial alternatives, and create remediation plans. We have extensive experience in human health and ecological risk assessments for environmental risk, vapor intrusion, and multi-media projects. We meet client needs for due diligence or filing a Record of Site Condition (RSC) under O.Reg. 153/04.
