Our final tally is in! This Remembrance Day, Carbon Alpha honoured our brave veterans in two ways: our small team raised $1350 in support the Veteran's Food Bank of Alberta. Next week, our staff will roll up their sleeves to donate blood. These small sacrifices pale in comparison to what our veterans have given us – our freedom. We salute you. We are grateful. The Carbon Alpha team had a great time at IEAGHG’s #ghgt17 last week. With 1,547 attendees from 47 countries, it was the largest GHGT yet!  The IEAGHG and Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA) did an amazing job putting on a world-class event that attracted an all-star cast of talented CCS professionals. Lee Hunt enjoyed presenting his work on #Theseus and #24D at the poster showcase, which notably hosted over 500 poster presentations, and a compelling e-poster digital library enabled by software from Kubify Learning Toolbox.  The sessions and talks provided excellent coverage of CCUS and CDR, inclusive of technical and commercial perspectives. Carbon Alpha’s Lee Hunt will be presenting two e-posters at the IEAGHG conference, GHGT-17 next week at the Telus Convention Center in #Calgary. He will be presenting a talk on Theseus from 2:00 – 2:11pm and a talk on 24D seismic technique from 2:12-2:23 pm on Wednesday October 23rd in the C1 e-poster location. Today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.  It is a day to recognize the history and lasting effects of residential schools and to acknowledge and honor the children who never made it home, the survivors, and their families and communities. We encourage you to take some time to reflect on the importance of today, and to learn more about Indigenous culture and history as a step towards reconciliation.   #NDTR
