  • Thousands of families in communities around our El Limón project in Nicaragua now have clean, safe drinking water, thanks to a recent partnership with Calibre. 💧 Delivered in cooperation with the Reynaga mayor’s office and ENACAL – the local water authority – the El Limón Community Water Project provided around 9,000 residents of El Limon, Santa Pancha and Minvah with direct access to potable water. The work included construction and rehabilitation of wells, water tanks, control facilities, distribution and in-home hookups. We’re incredibly proud to have played a role in improving the health, well-being and daily lives of our neighbours! #CalibreMining #GoldMining #Gold #Silver

  • This is a point of pride, and also a fundamental principle for Calibre: our approach to Indigenous Relations ✨always✨ rests on a bedrock of understanding – and respecting the history, culture and customs of Indigenous communities. In Nicaragua, although we don’t currently have any active extraction in Indigenous territories, we still meet periodically with Indigenous communities and stakeholders to strengthen relationships and communication. In addition to being a sincere honour and a pleasure, this approach has resulted in respectful engagement and long-term trust. 🌎

  • It was an honour to host this group of analysts and stakeholders for a confidence-inspiring tour of our El Limon Gold Mine and Mill complex in western Nicaragua. 💡El Limon contains an Indicated Mineral Resource of 1.204 million ounces of gold (as of Dec. 31, 2024), inclusive of 697,000 ounces of gold in Mineral Reserve. 💡It produces approximately 70,000 ounces of gold per year, generating cash flow that’s reinvested in our business – including construction of our new flagship Valentine Gold Mine, and our robust exploration programs. During their visit, participants got to interact with our experts and teams on the ground, including engineers, operators and geologists, to gain a clear understanding of our operation, and the many factors powering its success. Plus, how we address any challenges that arise, and how we work closely and successfully with local stakeholders.

  • Samuel Asante’s interest in gold mining started at a very young age: he grew up in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, and had the opportunity to visit several local gold mining companies as part of his school field trips. Now, as a Metallurgist at our Pan Mine in Nevada, Samuel runs column leach tests on ore samples to ensure our processes run smoothly and efficiently. His favorite memory at Calibre since joining us in 2023? It was his first day on the job, which happened to coincide with our gold smelting and pouring process, which Samuel had never seen before. Since then, Samuel appreciated having had the chance to work with a variety of departments and teams at Pan Mine, increasing his experience and skills, which align with his goal of gaining a deeper understanding of the metallurgical role. Thanks for your hard work and eagerness to learn every day Samuel! ⭐

  • The mining industry is evolving, and Calibre is proud to play a part. It’s not just about compliance – it’s about accountability and contributing to a greener future. Here are a few of the ways we’re taking action: ➡️Aligning with the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework. ➡️Identifying and addressing climate risks across our operations. ➡️Prioritizing responsible growth while reducing our environmental impact. Building a sustainable future isn’t optional – it’s essential. Check out the full Climate Report to see how we’re making it happen. #CalibreMining #ResponsibleMining #2023ClimateReport #GoldMining

  • Another Calibre Mining woman that we admire – that’s you, Stacy Michlouski! As a Mill Superintendent at our Valentine Gold Mine, Stacy works to ensure that our operating crews are performing their tasks safely, and working together to promote a diversified positive workplace. 🙌 With a diploma in Chemical Engineering and Process Control, Stacy started her career doing research in bioremediation of contaminated mine tailings. She has been working in gold milling operations for the last 10 years, as a metallurgist and with Calibre’s operations teams. Her favourite part of working at Calibre is solving challenges as part of a team. “The most rewarding thing is looking back on challenging times and being proud to say that we all accomplished this together,” she says. “I really care about the people that I work with and have formed lasting relationships with many of them,” she adds. That’s what we love to hear! 🫡 Learn more about how Calibre supports women in mining: https://lnkd.in/e-78-stG
