Male factor infertility was the primary reason couples sought IVF in 2022, and we're committed to helping.
At Bird&Be, we stand out with an integrative approach to care and our unwavering commitment to science and research. We recently presented the results of our first prospective clinical study at the Midwest Reproductive Symposium International, showcasing that The Powers for Males + CoQ10 Boost—our preconception supplement for males—significantly improves sperm motility after just three months of consistent use. Now, we’re excited to share this breakthrough publicly via NAPGO. The study results highlight the potential of accessible, at-home supplements to enhance sperm quality in a clinically meaningful way.
👉 Why does this matter? 👈
🤝 Preconception care should be 50/50.
Infertility is the only disease where the affected person’s partner is the one treated. In cases of severe male-factor infertility within heterosexual relationships, common treatments like IUI or ICSI/IVF typically place the majority of the physical burden on the female partner, who endures the injections, hormones, procedures, and monitoring—even when the cause of infertility is male.
🍆 Male infertility is on the rise.
A global decrease in sperm quality has contributed to male factor infertility being responsible for up to 50% of infertility cases worldwide. This trend has led to more couples seeking fertility care. According to Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society, male factor infertility was the primary reason couples sought IVF in 2022. Similarly, the CDC's 2021 data shows that male factor infertility is the second most common reason for IVF in the U.S., after egg or embryo banking.
While it’s widely accepted that females trying to conceive take prenatal vitamins, the conversation around optimizing male fertility is much quieter. Sperm need as much support as eggs, and it’s essential that couples understand males can—and should—be as involved as their partners in the journey to conception.
