Congratulations to General Fusion on the completion of LM26! This ground-breaking machine marks a transformative step forward in advancing fusion energy, and we at Axton Inc. are proud to have played a part in its fabrication. Being part of this project and witnessing the innovation firsthand at Friday’s ribbon-cutting event was truly inspiring. A huge shoutout to the General Fusion team for their relentless dedication to pushing the boundaries of technology. The future of clean energy is happening here in Canada! #GeneralFusion #LM26 #FusionEnergy #Innovation #Manufacturing #AxtonInc
“Today, we’re taking a big step forward on our mission with LM26. This machine is designed to achieve truly transformative technical milestones that will catapult fusion into reality and position General Fusion and Canada to lead the world in the fight against climate change.” – General Fusion CEO, Greg Twinney On Friday, we officially cut the ribbon marking the completion of our groundbreaking fusion machine, welcoming about 100 of our closest collaborators from around the world to our Richmond facility to celebrate, and we were thrilled to host representatives from the federal and B.C. governments. It was also an incredible moment to recognize the tremendous effort of our team to rapidly design and build the world’s first MTF fusion demonstration machine of its kind, targeting key technical milestones for #fusionenergy – 1 keV, 10 keV, and scientific breakeven equivalent (100% Lawson criterion). Thank you to those who could join us on Friday and everyone who has followed our journey of over 20 years of technology development in Canada. The future of commercially viable fusion technology is happening here – stay tuned!
