Recently, Edith Hermans, VP of Innovation & IP at Tessenderlo Innovation Center, joined the IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast 2025 at KU Leuven. This event, organized by Prof. Dr. Susana Rocha and Prof. Dr. Elke Debroye from KU Leuven's Department of Chemistry, highlighted the importance of women in (bio)chemistry and brought together more than 50 students for an engaging discussion on accelerating equity in science. Representing Tessenderlo Group, Edith Hermans, who obtained her PhD in Chemistry at KU Leuven, shared her journey and insights with students and fellow professionals. The panel, which also included Katrien Laurier, Lieve Dirix, Iesel Van der Plancken, Isabel Beets, Lies De Groef, and Els Braeken, addressed key topics such as career opportunities in industry vs. academia, work-life balance, and the importance of diversity in the workplace. We are happy to announce the launch of our Young Graduate Program! This program is key for our company because it allows us to attract promising talents and empower the future generation of leaders, and promote collaboration, mobility, and knowledge sharing between business units. Over two years, the Young Graduate will gain exposure and experience through four different assignments, each lasting six months, across various business units or departments, spanning multiple countries. They can choose between two exciting tracks: · Technical track, where they can unlock their engineering potential with hands-on experience in production, maintenance, and engineering. · Multidisciplinary track, where they can broaden their horizons with a program covering supply chain, HR, marketing/sales, and finance.
