In 10 days, we will finally unveil the incredible work of our team. No more teasers and no more secrets. Finally, the official unveiling of the brand-new solar car! Meanwhile, the final touches are being made in assembling all the components, from mounting the brand-new motor onto the car to carefully placing every solar cell with millimetre precision. All this amazing work is happening at our workshop, which is provided by our partner ViRiX, in the heart of Leuven.

Last week, we finally painted our solar car! A huge thank you to our partner Axalta for the incredible support in bringing our design to life, we couldn’t have done it without you! Meanwhile, the team is working hard to assemble the mechanical components, such as the steering system, wheels, and suspension, along with other crucial parts like the solar panels, motor, and all other electrical systems. Less than 20 days to go until the big reveal!

To stay ahead of the curve for the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in August 2025, we're working together with PwC Belgium to leverage the full potential of AI and explore how it can give us a strategic edge during our next solar challenge. From anomaly detection to AI-supported decision-making, we are integrating smart tools that help us go further, both on and off the road. We did it, 3X bigger than ever before! This year, we scaled the Solar Olympiad to welcome more students: about 600 young innovators from all over Flanders and Brussels! It took a lot of hard work, but seeing their motivation, creativity and energy made it all worth it. 🙌 Every child who wanted to participate had the chance, and they showed up with solar cars, gadgets, and brilliant ideas! Time for another monthly update as we move towards the World Solar Challenge this summer and our May 5th car reveal! 🔩 Our production team has completed most of the carbon components. Huge thanks to Cuthings for their support with precise carbon cutting, and to Esma nv for helping us mill the Rohacell so that it fits our molds perfectly. Next up: post-processing and prepping for the painting of our livery! 📏 Meanwhile, ARGON Measuring Solutions helped us perform a GOM scan, allowing us to compare the real-world frame with our CAD design and make final refinements. 🛠️ The mechanical systems team is assembling suspension components, and our energy team is hard at work on the battery and solar integration. Once the final parts from production arrive, assembly can begin at our workshop! 🎓 Last Friday, we hosted 600 secondary school students for the final day of our Solar Olympiad, a huge success and an inspiring day for the next generation of innovators! Today, we welcomed 600 students from across Flanders and Brussels for the grand finale of the biggest Solar Olympiade ever! ☀️⚙️ After months of hard work, we finally got to see their inventions come to life and we were blown away by their technical skills, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit. Huge thanks to our amazing partners for making this day possible: Colruyt Group Technics, VITO, KU Leuven - Group T Leuven Campus, Henkel, Samsonite and Techlink. Together we were able to give all these students a real opportunity to discover the field of STEM and innovation. 🙌 The future is bright with innovators like these and we can’t wait to see where their journey takes them! 💡🌍

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting our exclusive Concept Reveal Partner Event at the beautiful Arenberg Castle. It was such a pleasure to reconnect with our partners and share some exciting inside information about our upcoming solar car. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us! 400 high-school students gathered at KU Leuven Campus Group T for the Solar Olympiade Bootcamp, a day filled with hands-on learning. 🤗 From soldering to aerodynamics, pitching to prototyping, they explored every aspect of building solar-powered projects. On a mission to inspire the next generation of innovators! 💡 Last Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming 400 secondary school students at KU Leuven Campus Group T for the Solar Olympiade Bootcamp 🤗. We were able to present them with 13 hands-on workshops covering everything from pitching, learning about aerodynamics to soldering. These workshops were not only led by our own team members but we also had the support of Colruyt Group Technics, VITO, Infinite Simulation Systems, Innoptus, Brightlab, KU Leuven - Group T Leuven Campus, Samsonite, Techlink and Henkel. The students are now gearing up to bring their innovative solar cars and gadgets to life for the Solar Olympiade Finals.
