🗣️ “I’m not a superhero” At our latest company event, in an inspirational speech about “high performing organisation", Sofie Fransen shared a powerful lesson: “In the right team, every mistake becomes a lesson.” She recounted a time when she made an error that deeply affected her. But being in an open and supportive team allowed her to speak up, learn, and grow from it. Remember, high performers aren’t mistake-free—they are learners. Let’s create a culture where we openly discuss our mistakes and turn them into stepping stones to success. Have you ever turned a mistake into a learning opportunity? Let's talk about it in the comments. ✨ #HighPerformingOrganization #LearningFromMistakes #TeamSupport

Receiving oncology treatment at home? It’s been possible in Belgium since 2023 — yet too few patients currently have access to this option. This is largely due to the limited implementation of home care programmes. Many hospitals lack information or remain hesitant, due to uncertainties around financial parity between hospital-based and home-based care, and the practical challenges of organising and coordinating treatment. “Many issues have already been resolved, such as waste disposal and transport of the injection” declared Dr greet Huygh, Director of Medical Oncology at OLV Aalst Hospital, during our previous symposium organised for Flemish hospitals in October 2024, which aimed to highlight the many advantages of healthcare at home. To support wider implementation of decentralised care in Belgium, Roche is now organising a similar event for French-speaking hospitals on 9 April. 📩 This event is intended for healthcare professionals only (e.g. oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, hospital administrators, care coordinators, and home care providers) Register here: https://lnkd.in/eRD9pzjX

Healthcare data isn’t just technical — it’s deeply human. It shapes how we receive care, make decisions, and drive innovation. But for data to truly improve healthcare, all voices must be heard: patients, healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers — and industry. We’re happy to share the latest episode of the Care4Data podcast, part of the FAQIR Foundation project, in which Roche is actively involved. This series raises awareness about the value of data sharing, puts patients at the centre, and encourages open dialogue across the healthcare ecosystem. 🎙 New episode out now! In this episode, Sofie Baetens (Roche/MSD) shares why data matters from an industry perspective, how it can support better research, innovation and access to care — and what it takes to build trust. She also highlights a first collaborative use case in haemophilia, where Roche, alongside FAQIR Foundation and other partners, explored how real-world data can empower patients to take greater control over their own health. The goal: to ensure patients can manage their data actively and share it in a meaningful way with healthcare professionals when needed. 🔎 What can you expect from the podcast? 🗣 Patient experiences and expectations ⚕️ Insights from healthcare professionals 🧬 Advances in personalised medicine and AI 📜 Policy reflections on data, trust and innovation 📢 Listen here: https://lnkd.in/eaUa-gDn... At Roche, we believe in the power of collaboration — because data only works when we work together. 👥 #Care4Data #HealthcareInnovation #DataSharing

🔬 To all oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, hospital administrators, care coordinators and home care providers — join us! 🏡💉 Home-based cancer care is no longer just a vision — it’s becoming reality. Several pilot projects have shown that administering oncology treatments at home can significantly improve the quality of care and the daily lives of patients living with cancer. Since 1 July 2023, Belgium has introduced a legal and financial framework allowing certain oncology and antibiotic treatments to be administered at home — but implementation remains limited. Let’s change that, together. Join us for a symposium dedicated to home-based oncology care, bringing together hospitals from Wallonia and Brussels to: ✅ Share best practices and real-world experiences ✅ Strengthen coordination between hospital and home care teams ✅ Explore new technologies and adapt to the latest regulations 🗓 9 April 2025 | 📍 Ecolys Business Village, Namur 📢 The event will be held in French. Let’s shape the future of oncology — one home at a time. #ShapingHealthcare #HealthcareInnovation #DoingNowWhatPatientsNeedNext

When passionate people come together, great things happen—and that’s exactly what we saw at Nurse Academy a few days ago! Together with piet eelen, we at Roche facilitated this edition to bring MS nurses from across Belgium together for the first time since COVID. This year, the academy also welcomed French-speaking MS nurses, making it a truly national gathering. The sessions focused on topics that matter in daily practice, the evolving role of nurses, and hands-on training. But beyond the presentations, what made this day special was the openness, the discussions, and the connections formed. A big thank you to everyone who made it happen. Looking forward to the next edition!

🚨Did you know that acute respiratory infections, from the common cold to tuberculosis, are still among the leading causes of death worldwide? (1) This #WorldTuberculosisDay, let's highlight tuberculosis in Belgium. Despite being a 'low incidence country' with fewer than 10 cases per 100,000 people annually, Belgium's tuberculosis rate is still higher than its neighbors. (2) We're aiming for a 12% annual reduction, supporting the World Health Organization's goal to eliminate tuberculosis by 2050. Together, we can achieve this and combat infectious diseases globally. 🌍 #RespiratoryHealth #InfectiousDiseasesAwareness (1) World Health Organization. The Global Impact of Respiratory Disease. 2017.
