🎉 New publication alert! We're thrilled to share our latest paper in IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS): "An SI-Traceable Protocol for the Validation of Radiative Transfer Model-Based Reflectance Simulation" https://lnkd.in/e7PDPPXT In this study, we test the ability of the #Eradiate RTM to simulate the reflectance of a manufactured target given #SItraceable measurements of its shape and optical properties. Simulations deviate from lab measurements by less than 2%. 🚀 Big thanks to our co-authors at Aalto University and National Physical Laboratory (NPL), and to European Commission's #Horizon2020 for funding the MetEOC-4 project!

We’re proud to lead an incredible team—including Brockmann Consult GmbH, National Physical Laboratory (NPL) and Ghent University - in developing an advanced Synthetic Scene Generator to be implemented in the European Space Agency - ESA #DestinE Platform. Excited for the journey ahead!
Rayference just start the Digital Twin Earth Synthetic Scene Generator and Observation Simulator (DTE-S2GOS) project that focuses on developing a new pre-operational service to be implemented as a component of the ESA DestinE Platform. This service will involve the development of a radiative twin of the Earth, replicating its appearance as observed from ground-based or spaceborne remote sensing instruments. Find more information on this project here: https://lnkd.in/evVPwMzD where you can register to our Newsletter.

We’re proud to have been part of European Space Agency - ESA's #TRUTHS mission meeting in Belgium at the Royal Observatory of Belgium! A big thank you to Thomas AUGUST for hosting such an inspiring day of discussions, collaboration, and forward-thinking ideas to maximize TRUTHS’ potential in Earth observation and climate science. It’s exciting to see how this mission is shaping up, and to be able to contribute to its vision of delivering groundbreaking climate and Earth observation data.
🚀 🛰️ 🌍 TRUTHS on Tour: Belgium Edition 🇧🇪 As part of our roadshow for ESA’s TRUTHS mission, I had the pleasure of meeting today the dynamic and knowledgeable Belgian scientific community at the Royal Observatory of Belgium. With experts from BIRA, Meteo Belgium, Rayference, RBINS, ROB, VITO, and University of Liège, it was a day filled with insightful discussions, brilliant ideas, and a shared vision for maximizing TRUTHS’ potential. The room buzzed with enthusiasm as we explored how TRUTHS can benefit various scientific domains, explored case studies, and identified key developments to pave the way for impactful outcomes post-launch. The enthusiasm and expertise in the room were truly inspiring! 📸 Here’s our group photo—appropriately taken next to a giant image of the sun! (Although -to tell the TRUTHS 😁- given the temperature, we might have preferred standing next to the real thing for a little warmth!) A big thank you to everyone who contributed, to ROB for hosting. And a shoutout to all the national communities we’re yet to meet. Together, we’re shaping TRUTHS into a mission that will deliver groundbreaking climate and Earth observation data. https://lnkd.in/eEtv8dwt #ESA #TRUTHS #ScienceRoadshow #EarthObservation #Climate #Calibration #Science #Collaboration
