To better assess the impact of energy transition for the industry connected to our grids, we launched the EnergieGRIP initiative in Flanders together with Elia Group and Fluvius. We hereby call on industrial customers to interact with us as grid operators and share their energy transition plans. 📈The annual results 2024 of Fluxys Belgium are out.  In 2024, our Belgian network remained a key pillar for supporting security of the natural gas supply in North-West Europe. Furthermore, as appointed hydrogen network operator, Fluxys hydrogen works on the infrastructure required to allow the necessary low-carbon energy and feedstock to be transported both for the Belgian market and neighbouring countries at the pace of market development. In parallel, we are working with industry to cut CO2 in Belgium by transporting the captured CO2 to storage sites. Our dedicated colleagues are at the heart of this transformation. With support from federal authorities, Fluxys starts constructing the first phase of our hydrogen pipeline network! 🌍 This is an important step towards a sustainable and low-carbon future. Our project will boost the hydrogen economy by offering an open-access transport network for producers and consumers. ✨ Multi-energy taskforce kick-off! ✨ Today, together with Elia Group, Fluxys held a successful kick-off session for the development of our ten-year National Development Plan (NDP) under the new legal framework established by the royal decree of May 2024. This framework outlines how Elia (TSO e-) and Fluxys hydrogen (H2) will collaborate to create common energy scenarios, with the first iteration covering 2028-2037. We engaged with federal and regional stakeholders from the public and private sectors to discuss the process and timeline for developing the scenarios. Time to Deliver the Deal. ⏰ 📍 One year after the launch of the #AntwerpDeclaration, our CEO Pascal De Buck gathered in Antwerp with 400 business leaders, industry experts, and worker representatives from across Europe to discuss the newly released #CleanIndustrialDeal with Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. 🤝 The message is clear: #DeliverTheDeal 🚀 With the European Council meeting approaching in March, we’re urging EU Heads of State to take immediate action across all Member States. ⏳ To secure Europe's future, we need bold decisions to: ✅ Ensure an energy system that facilitates market-based decarbonisation ✅ Enable the development of infrastructure for molecules ✅ Finance the development of (low carbon and green) hydrogen and CO2 infrastructure The time for strategies and discussions is over—now is the time to act.
