𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗨𝗦 𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗦 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗕𝗔𝗗 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛‼️ 👎 They are an extra tax on products essential for the digital economy: advanced machinery, grid technologies, telecoms equipment... 👎 They will trigger uncertainty in supply chains and raise costs for businesses and consumers, potentially endangering growth and jobs 👎 They will inevitably prompt a set of unified EU countermeasures designed to protect European economic interests In our full reaction to the 20% tariffs on EU imports announced by the US Administration, we call on both the EU and the US to urgently return to the negotiating table, prioritise constructive dialogue, and collaboratively seek solutions that avoid unnecessary economic harm ⬇️

Competitiveness 🤝 sustainability = #EuropeCan win the tech race!   The sustainability #omnibus is a good start for EU companies to focus on innovation and sustainability with simpler compliance for the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (#CS3D) and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (#CSRD).   This week, the European Parliament votes on whether to delay the application of those rules. To that, we say together with other industry players: #StopTheClock. 📣 It's out! The European Commission has published its much-anticipated White Paper on the future of European #defence. And there is some good news, brought to you by our Director General Cecilia Bonefeld-Dahl: "Europe is finally recognising that the future of defence is digital. The new European Armament Technological Roadmap is exactly what we asked for - an opportunity to invest in critical technologies like #AI and quantum. We must also support Europe's strengths in connectivity, energy tech, drone tech, and manufacturing." ⚡ Now, we need to move fast, invest at scale, and stick together rather than in 27 fragmented silos. #EuropeCan do it. 🔗For the full reaction, check out the comments section.
