Mazuera, Tudor Enache, and Dumitrita Nistorica were delighted to attend the 2025 Cleantech Conference organised by CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency. The conference was a unique opportunity to gain insights for our associations & funding clients on the Commission's evolving view on EU cleantech & industrial leadership, emboldened by the recent #CleanIndustrialDeal. 🎤 Key takeaways from the panels that stood out: 1️⃣ Europe’s cleantech of tomorrow needs a strong business case to enable successful scale-up, a recurring theme echoed by multiple speakers. 2️⃣ Uniting SMEs and industrial players through the Innovation Fund can accelerate cleantech innovation while ensuring scalability - highlighted by Jules Besnainou from Cleantech for Europe 3️⃣ The EU should foster a stronger public-private relationship between Innovation Fund applicants and evaluators to support them through the process – a point made by #JigarShah, former Director of the Loan Programs Office at the U.S. Department of Energy 💡 With recent geopolitical events, now is the time for Europe to harness its, in DG CLIMA’s words, "boring predictability" and be a leader for global private investment and cleantech innovation.
