BIC’s Head of Programming Samuele Ambrosetti is busy supporting the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) call for proposals 2025, taking part in Info Days around Europe to help to increase participation from #biobased businesses and organisations all over the EU.

We are proud to be a partner in the #HorizonEurope project #BOOST4BIOEAST, supporting all efforts to grow and support research, innovation, knowledge-sharing and scaling up in central and eastern Europe’s bioeconomy, through empowering national stakeholders.

Pleased to be in Athens today, in the beautiful setting of The Museum of Cycladic Art, for the Greek CBE infoday 2025. Together with Simone Maccaferri from the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU), we presented the call for proposals and discussed opportunities for Greek companies and institutions. The infoday was coupled with a hands-on workshop on Greek bioeconomy in the framework of the CEE2ACT Project, where the building blocks of the future Greek Bioeconomy Strategy were laid out. Thanks to our member CluBE-Cluster of Bioeconomy and Environment of Western Macedonia for organising the event and in particular to Yannis Fallas and Nikos Ntavos for inviting me!

The Bioeconomy Blueprint can provide inspiration for policymakers going forward on how to fully unleash the potential of Europe's bioeconomy!

BIC’s Dirk Carrez is speaking in the opening session of the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) Info Day 2025 as the call for proposals goes live! Dirk is telling attendees about the opportunities that #biomanufacturing presents #Europe - especially in light of the rolling back of green initiatives in the US. CBE JU Director Nicoló Giacomuzzi-Moore highlighted that two-thirds of the participants today are here for the first time - a strong sign that the partnership is growing. And Astrid Ladefoged, Head of Circular Economy & Bio-based Systems Unit at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (DG RTD) talked about the “good and close collaboration” between BIC and the Commission in the partnership.
