Building on successes achieved to date, the position of General Manager, Mental Health, Family Violence and Community will oversee the expansion of these programs, ensuring that they meet current and future community needs, are high quality, culturally appropriate, competitive, innovative and sustainable.
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this General Manager position is part of the Executive and will lead a committed team to excel, by providing strong leadership, effective and inspirational people management and productive stakeholder relationships. Key responsibilities include the development of the consolidated mental health services to become an industry acknowledged leader and overseeing the increasing suite of family violence programs. Integral to the role, will be the capacity to effectively predict and navigate the complex public policy environment to secure outstanding service development outcomes for DPVH and our community. Current direct reports are the Program Manager Trauma and Outreach (Mental Health and Community programs), Program Manager Family Violence and Aboriginal Access Worker.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record of strategic and operational success at a senior leadership level gained in an organisation delivering mental health and/or family violence services. They will have superior stakeholder engagement skills and will have been successful in the design and implementation of new service models to attract funding in new and existing programs. Presenting as dynamic and contemporary in approach, the values driven appointee will be capable of creating a culture where change is normalised and appreciated, and where teams are collaborative and accountable. Mental health clinical leadership experience would be advantageous.
Working as an integral part of our leadership team, you will:
Provide strategic and operational leadership to Mental Health, Family Violence & Outreach Program.
Advance strategic partnerships that are mutually beneficial and support DPV Health's strategic and operational objectives.
Implement fee-for-service models of care to increase access and complement public funded programs.
Ensure services and programs are delivered in compliance with the government, funding body and/or other agency requirements.
Ensure services are designed, provided, and evaluated with service users.
Implement change management and improvement strategies to optimise the client experience, maximise revenue, reduce expenditure and/or achieve efficiencies.
Implement technological solutions that offer innovative, competitive, and sustainable health and community services.
Lead further development of mental health through the implementation of psychosocial recovery frameworks, embedding the menu of options and sustaining evidence based on therapeutic interventions.
Provide strategic leadership and governance within the Orange door Network.
Continuing to develop and improve an evidence-based, sustainable approach for all services including Men’s Behaviour Change.
Manage the achievement of annual revenue, expenses, wages, and net profit budgets.
Manage the successful achievement of all government and other agency activity targets.
Provide clear decision making and follow through to drive performance.
Implement and manage competitive fee for service and/or MBS programs services.
Develop, maintain, and implement systems, processes, policies, and infrastructure deliver strategic objectives.
Ensure consistent contractual arrangements and performance standards meet DPV Health values.
Enhance DPV Health’s reputation and capacity by successfully engaging with key stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will bring:
Qualifications
Postgraduate qualifications in Health Administration, Mental Health or similar.
Mental health clinical and/or family violence practice experience is mandatory; and
Demonstrated track record in implementing successful organisational change strategies.
Experience & Skills
5-7 years minimum executive experience in mental health or family violence or related field.
The fine print
Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check, International Police Check (if applicable), NDIS clearance and hold a valid WWCC.
Full driver license and travel between sites required.
