It was a privilege to showcase #BreezeCoat™ at #evokeAG2025 with an innovative cohort of AgTech Start-Ups and interested farmers and learn about the real challenges and innovations in agriculture today! VensoGrow CEO Caecilia Potter and Technology Innovation Lead Marko Trifunović met with knowledgeable ag experts like Maree Crawford from Elders, who discussed key challenges for seed-applied technologies and showcased their state-of-the-art laboratory and field trial setup. They also learnt more about cotton crop opportunities from experienced cotton grower and agronomist Anna Madden. Anna is the successful founder of The Crop Capsules Company, which provides growers with options to incorporate beneficial insect releases into their pest management strategies.   We’re now running 2025 industry trials at VensoGrow, aiming to quantify how much BreezeCoat™ can improve the efficacy of a full seed treatment, extend the shelf life of treated seeds, and enhance the stability and viability of RNA and microbes on seeds.   Our team is passionate about transforming agriculture to feed more people sustainably. Scaling Innovation for Sustainable Agriculture and Inclusive Growth 🌱 Robust infrastructure and inclusive industrial innovation are critical to sustainable development, especially in rural and underserved regions with limited access to agricultural technology. As we work toward the UN’s 2030 goals, industries must be upgraded with clean technologies to boost productivity and ensure no community is left behind. At VensoGrow, we’re proud to support Sustainable Development Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. A compact, energy-efficient, mobile seed treatment system is on our Product Roadmap, enabling farmers to coat seeds with two film coat layers on-farm in one pass before sowing. Critically, existing on-farm seed treatment solutions are limited to one layer of seed protection and can cause high mechanical damage to seeds. For instance, research by Leandro Vilela Reis shows that approximately 7.5% of soybeans are damaged by mechanical stress from on-farm treatment, which can reduce germination, vigour and yields. Our innovative seed coating technology, BreezeCoat™, will provide high-volume, lower energy, two-layer mobile units with very low seed-to-seed collisions and precise temperature control, supporting farmers in applying a complete seed protection package with both chemistries and microbials on-farm. This approach fosters innovative treatments, supports farmer accessibility, and strengthens economic development in rural and underserved communities.   Investing in sustainable agricultural infrastructure is key to empowering local industries, improving food security, and building climate-resilient systems. A week filled with great conversations, innovation and new connections 🔗 Our very own Caecilia Potter shared the benefits of VensoGrow’s innovative BreezeCoat™ technology in the Start-Up Showcase, emphasising how its ultra-gentle process maximises the viability of beneficial microbes and sensitive seeds. It was fantastic to connect with other innovators at the Start-Up Arena and highlight how BreezeCoat™ is driving efficiency, sustainability and performance in seed treatment. Kit Barron, VP of Technology at Farmer's Business Network, Inc., spoke at the AI in Agriculture Forum, revealing that their AI-powered autonomous laser weeder outperformed herbicides and manual weeding in yield gains. He attributed this to reduced soil compaction and root damage. It makes a lot of sense when you consider that seeds, just like plant roots, are sensitive to mechanical stress. This is why BreezeCoat™, with very low seed collisions, protects seed vigour. Its multi-layer protection preserves bio-actives' vitality without excessive mechanical stress or heat exposure, leading to stronger, healthier crops.
