💲 📊 💻 A lack of digital financial reporting has left Australia trailling the rest of the world, with the risk of international investors overlooking our capital markets. These findings were reported by Peter. Wells and Stephen Taylor of the UTS Business School in their article in Accounting Times. Digital financial reporting is now mandated in the US, UK and the European Union, as well as Japan, South Korea and Singapore. With these economies covering 90% of global capital markets, Australia is at risk of falling behind. We are thrilled to announce that Jess Hill, one of Australia’s leading thinkers on gendered violence and coercive control, is joining the University of Technology Sydney. Jess's extensive research in this field includes publication of the Stella Prize-winning book "See What You Made Me Do” and the Quarterly Essay ‘Losing It: Can We Stop The Violence Against Women And Children?’ 🔗 https://lnkd.in/g3MKwrgy The Fellowship, supported by the Wilson Foundation in partnership with the UTS Centre for Social Justice & Inclusion and the UTS Business School, will enable Jess to continue her groundbreaking work. She will integrate knowledge on family violence prevention with best practices from other sectors to develop holistic and effective strategies to address men’s violence.
