Supply Nation is thrilled to have collaborated with Certified Supplier Little Rocket and proud Gamilaraay and Warlpiri artist Jessie Waratah on the official Connect 2025 branding. Founded by Gurindji man John Burgess, Little Rocket is a full-service creative marketing agency based in Naarm (Melbourne). Little Rocket places a strong emphasis on caring for the community and is dedicated to delivering impactful solutions that make a difference. Jessie Waratah, born and raised in Sydney, creates designs that include references to native plants and animals, in addition to landscapes of the local area. In this way, the paintings themselves become an Acknowledgement of Country. The design ‘Connected Then and Now’ celebrates the strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The gathering of communities to share knowledge and empower each other is expressed through core elements of the sky, land and waters.

However, this success is often obstructed and overshadowed by the attention given to ‘black cladding’. Supply Nation CEO and proud Awabakal woman, Kate Russell states: “We cannot let the sensationalism associated with the term ‘black cladding’ continue to demean the success and significant contribution Indigenous businesses are making to maintaining growth and prosperity across Australia’s economies. In my role I am privileged to see over 5,500 genuine Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-owned businesses on our Indigenous Business Direct database making a tangible difference to their families and communities”.
