North American lithium producer Sayona Mining Limited (“Sayona”) (ASX:SYA; OTCQB:SYAXF) announced today the results from 36 new drillholes totalling 8,803 metres at the Company’s North American Lithium (NAL) operation (Sayona 75%; Piedmont Lithium 25%) in Québec, Canada, demonstrating the high-grade nature of this strategic asset. All the drilling results from the 2023 exploration program are now complete, validated and released and the first results from the 2024 exploration drilling program, which is currently underway, are reported in this release. The 2023 drill program has been a successful in demonstrating the potential to increase the mineral resource base at NAL. The 2023 drill program was designed to test extensions to mineralisation and provide in-fill data for the upgrade of Mineral Resource categories. The latest drilling results include the identification of high-grade lithium mineralisation outside the Mineral Resource estimate (MRE) pit shells, particularly in the North-West and South-East extensions, and support potential conversion of some of the Inferred resources to Indicated category within the MRE pit shells. Sayona’s Interim CEO, James Brown commented: “We are delighted to have another strong set of drilling results from North American Lithium which continue to highlight the superb quality of this mine. “The results reported today have shown that mineralisation continues outside of the existing MRE pit shells so the next key step will be to complete a recalculation of the MRE to include recent drilling. “Additionally, we will also complete a further 30,000 metres of drilling throughout 2024 to better understand the full potential of the NAL mineralisation.”

It was a pleasure to host RCF at NAL - North America’s largest producing lithium mine.
Battery storage. Electric vehicles. AI data centers. Powering all technologies is #lithium or “white gold.” Few metals are more indispensable to advancing the #energy, #security, and #technology sectors. In this edition of #CriticalMinerals, Rich Brereton, Partner, Global Head of Investor Relations, and Rafael Gradim, Director, Geologist from RCF’s Technical Team, visited a fully operational lithium mine in Canada. It sure was cold – but it was also a great opportunity to see one of the world’s oldest industries create one of the world’s most important new products. #RealAssets

North American lithium producer Sayona Mining Limited (“Sayona”) (ASX:SYA; OTCQB:SYAXF) announced today the results from 34 new drillholes totalling 7,853 metres at its Moblan Lithium Project (Sayona 60%; Investissement Quebec 40%), demonstrating the potential of a single, large continuous orebody. All the drilling results from the latest exploration program are now complete, validated and released. The 2023 drill program has been successful in demonstrating the potential to increase the mineral resource base at Moblan. The drilling program was designed to test extensions to mineralisation and provide in-fill data for the upgrade of Mineral Resource categories from the 2023 MRE. Individual dykes have been documented and modelled comprising the Main Zone, South Zone, Inter Zone and Moleon domain. The latest drilling results include the identification of high-grade lithium mineralisation outside the MRE pit shells, particularly in the Inter Zone Area, and support potential conversion of some of the Inferred resources to the Indicated category within the MRE pit shells. The new drillhole results reinforce the project’s status as the centrepiece of Sayona’s Eeyou-Istchee James Bay hub in northern Quebec, and highlights its potential to expand the existing mineral resource base at Moblan. Sayona’s Interim CEO, James Brown commented: “Moblan continues to present outstanding high-grade drilling results over wide intersections. The deposit now extends over ~2.3km E-W, ~1.2km N-S and to depth of ~450m. "Today's announcement emphasises the continuation of known mineralisation and areas of in-fill between zones, suggesting considerable potential for uncovering additional extensions to this premium lithium deposit. “Recent results from both Moblan and NAL reinforce the quality and potential of both the Abitibi-Temiscamingue and Eeyou Istchee James Bay hubs which provides Sayona an abundance of options and potential flexibility for development of an integrated lithium business in Quebec.” Read more:

Drilling of high priority targets commences at Tabba Tabba · Reverse circulation (RC) drilling has commenced at the Tabba Tabba Lithium Project along strike from recent exploration by Wildcat Resources that has identified encouraging lithium mineralisation · New gravity survey data identifies zones of significant interest allowing prioritisation of RC drilling and targets for future testing along a 7.5km strike extent within the lease · Initial programme of deeper drilling over high potential targets for a total of 2,000+ metres. Sayona’s Director and Interim CEO, James Brown commented, “We are excited to have commenced RC drilling over the highly prospective Tabba Tabba lease which has known lithium mineralisation in close proximity and along strike. Previous soil sampling and air core drilling identified areas of anomalous geochemistry that have been confirmed to also contain gravity features of significance. We now intend to test these targets with RC and possibly diamond drilling as supported by results.”
