Protekt GPS Tracking Systems - Matt Penhall - Cohort #05 We love hearing about success stories from our Alumni – regardless of whether they are working on their original idea or a new one! Our Incubator program is designed so that you can take the learnings away and apply to any new ideas! Meet Matt Penhall. Matt was apart of our 5th cohort and since then has grown his startup from strength to strength. We are lucky enough to still catch up with Matt in our space often and it's great to see how far he has come since completing the incubator. We asked Matt some questions about his time since the program. Read below what he’s been up to! ▶️ What has been your biggest achievement since completing the Incubator Program? As a small team from regional Victoria, we've assembled a talented group that's built a GPS-based Fleet Management System that competes with, and sometimes surpasses, the largest tracking companies. Last year, we launched the Protekt Prestarts App, enabling staff to perform electronic safety checks on vehicles and machinery. This identifies safety or maintenance issues, which are sent directly to the relevant fleet manager or maintenance team. The Prestart check ensures vehicles are safe to operate, drivers are rested, and issues are addressed before they become safety hazards or costly failures. ▶️ What is next for you? In the next few months we will be releasing the next iteration of our software package which our amazing developers (Tristan McArdle and Robert Layton) have spent over 12 months writing. We also have a newly established East coast sales team that are already bringing in new and much larger clients to our organisation. ▶️ What would you have done differently? Deliberate action within your organisation is the only thing that will tick the needle forward. I really wouldn't waste my time going to seminars being given 'advice' on how to run a startup company from people that have never started a company. The advice you take can derail your potential success. The entrepreneurial journey really isn't meant for everyone, and overnight success is a complete myth.. #RunwayHQ #RunwayIncubatorProgram #Incubator #Startup
