A new way of thinking for crane lifting and logistics

About us

Roborigger is an automated lifting device that accurately rotates and holds loads in a specific orientation regardless of wind. The device allows riggers to rotate and orient the load using a handheld remote from a safe distance, eliminating the need to be in the load’s vicinity or to control the load with taglines. This is a game changer for lifting safety as personnel no longer need to be in a position where they can be injured by lifted loads.

  • Roborigger is used to enhance all kinds of lifts. Construction, infrastructure, shipping. Wherever loads are being lifted, Roborigger can provide the control and remove workers from the danger zone, maximising safe lifting conditions in all industries. Ports around Australia, New Zealand and Asia are using Roborigger for breakbulk and container loads lifted with the ships crane or mobile crane.

    Project Lead - Rolling Stock

Another Exciting Milestone! 🚂 120 new Q-Series wagons delivered! Last week, we successfully completed the delivery of 120 new Q-Series wagons. This project was particularly special as it allowed us to implement some innovative safety initiatives: Eliminating Last Car Rollaways: Recognizing the potential risks associated with end-of-train car rollaways, we redesigned the end-of-train wagon to incorporate a dual automatic tension spring park brake (TSPB). This innovative feature automatically engages when the air supply is depleted or disconnected, effectively eliminating the risk of a runaway car in the event of a drawbar failure. First introduced a couple of years ago as a single TSPB design on our standard wagons, the TSPB is proving to be a vital safety enhancement and looks to be a permanent fixture moving forward. Robo-Rigger Unloading: In partnership with Qube, we trialled their new "Robo-Rigger" during the ship unloading process. This remotely operated device significantly enhances safety by removing the need for stevedores to manually handle tag lines on the ship's deck. The results were outstanding, paving the way for wider adoption of this technology for future wagon and cargo deliveries. We're incredibly proud of the collaborative effort that made this delivery possible and are committed to pushing the boundaries of safety and efficiency in rail freight. #railfreight #safetyfirst #innovation #collaboration #stevedoring #rollingstock

We’re keeping it cool at NEXTDC S3 Sydney, having successfully landed all 54 cooling towers! ❄️🧊 26 of the towers are now fully operational, with the remaining units currently in the commissioning phase. Cooling towers are vital for data centres, helping to regulate temperature by removing excess heat, ensuring servers and equipment run efficiently and reliably. The installation process was carefully planned through several design and safety workshops. The cooling towers were delivered in three pieces, assembled in a designated area, then lifted and placed onto the mechanical skids for final plumbing and wiring. This milestone showcased another great use of Roborigger, which enabled the team to rig and lift the cooling towers safely and precisely onto the steel platform. A true testament to teamwork, efficiency, and outperformance in action. #builttooutperform A.G. Coombs

  • New and innovative lifting technology alert! SCJV's Western Ridge Crusher project for BHP is underway, using smart modular construction techniques. This process involves pre-assembled structures (weighing up to 300t) to be lifted into place. These heavy loads are hard to handle and the height of the construction means taglines and traditional control methods are ineffective. Enter Roborigger. AF12 is a new product in Roborigger's line up of load control. It is modular and non load bearing, connecting to the load directly or on a spreader and allowing the riggers to control heavy loads without taglines. It can control and orientate a load of up to 50m long and 300t in weight, bringing precise control to the heavier lifting of infrastructure, wind energy and modular construction processes. By controlling the load through the whole lift, and eliminating the requirement for workers to be close to suspended loads it vastly increases safety and also makes handling these heavy loads easy and quick. It takes the foresight of construction companies like CPB adopting new technology to improve the lifting industry to pave the way for a new and safer way to work. Congratulations SCJV!

    Operations Manager at CPB Contractors

Our Western Ridge Crusher team has performed their first lift using the Roborigger – a load controlling system that allows the orientation of the load to be independent, providing greater flexibility and provide tailormade lifting configurations. The use of the Roborigger was an innovation devised by the team which removes personnel from suspended loads, reduces multiple crane movements, and provides accurate load control during lifting operations at height replacing the use of tug lines. The team has used two Roborigger system the ARM1500 and the AF12 so far and will perform the next lifts introducing other innovations designed by Roborigger to release the rigging and reducing working at height risks, and the Synchoist System that allows trim of the load and eliminates chain blocks in the rigging arrangement. The Roborigger will have a big role to play on the project as it builds the crusher system.

Introducing Roborigger, a key extension of our NEXTDC S3 Sydney team, helping with our heaviest lifts to keep progress rolling smoothly – a real MVP if you ask us! With Roborigger’s assistance, the site team is installing additional generators (weighing 31 tonnes each, including the lifting platform), 43 cooling towers, 41 prefabricated cooling tower pump skids, and radiators for the new data centre. When it comes to safety, we are strategically focused on removing critical risks, and this innovative automated lifting device significantly improves worksite safety by allowing riggers and dogmen to control loads wirelessly from a safe distance. The attachment also increases the operating window for lifting operations involving loads with large surface areas that are affected by wind. Multiplex was the first contractor to use Roborigger in 2019 and was instrumental in its early research and development. #builttooutperform TENSA Equipment
