About us

Established in 1984, Prince of Peace Lutheran College is a co-educational Christian College for students in Kindergarten to Year 12 based on two closely located campuses in Everton Hills, North Brisbane. Our Junior Campus on Rogers Parade is the home to 450 students in Prep to Year 6. Our Kindergarten and Outside Hours School Care facilities are also based on the Junior Campus and run on behalf of the College by Queensland Lutheran Early Childhood Services. There are currently 420 students attending the Senior Campus, which is approximately 1.5km from the Junior Campus, and provides education for students in Years 7 to 12. The partnership of the College with our families, the Prince of Peace congregation and the wider community makes us a strong, dynamic forward thinking organisation. This combined with our close and supportive Christian community makes Prince of Peace Lutheran College a very special place for our students to have an enjoyable and successful school career.

Prince of Peace Lutheran College is a K-12 co-educational, independent, Christian school located in the north-western suburbs of Brisbane. The College was established by the Prince of Peace Lutheran Congregation in 1984 to provide quality Christian education to the children of the community. The Junior Campus (K-6) is located at Rogers Parade West, Everton Park. The Middle & Senior Campus, 1 km away at Henderson Road, Everton Hills and is home to Years 7-12. 1. Teacher of Years 7-10 Mathematics and Science (FTE 1.0) 2. Teacher of Year 8-10 Mathematics and Science and Year 11 Biology and Chemistry) (FTE 1.0) 3. Teacher of Year 9 Business Studies, Years 7-10 Christian Studies, Humanities. (FTE 1.0) TEACHER SELECTION CRITERIA Demonstrated skills which reflect commitment to, and understanding of, the Christian ethos of the College and how it influences Pastoral Care (this may include): • Demonstrated ability to lead children in Christian worship • Willingness to contribute to the maintenance of the Christian based caring atmosphere of the College • Ability to maintain a positive focused, well-managed teaching environment with a high standard of pastoral care using Restorative Practices Demonstrated ability to deliver a high-quality teaching and learning programs (this may include): • Demonstrated knowledge of Queensland Curriculum and Syllabus documents • Ability to plan effective documented programs which include weekly plans and term overviews • Ability to select and use appropriately a wide range of teaching and assessment strategies to suit the needs of a diverse range of students • Ability to integrate ICTs as cross curricular priorities in the curriculum Demonstrated commitment and capacity to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities as a member of the College team. Celebrating the Commonwealth's 75th anniversary, the 563 page, unique coffee table publication showcases a wide range of contributions across sectors, including education, health, and the arts, aims to reflect the rich diversity and shared aspirations of the 56 member countries. Mr Simon Hughes, Head of College, said the College is honoured to have been selected to feature among exceptional company in this landmark publication. This book recognises excellence by institutions that embody the values of the Commonwealth, such as education, diversity, and innovation. Prince of Peace’s inclusion reflects the school's commitment to fostering excellence in teaching, learning and wellbeing, hope, courage, grace, service, and promoting global citizenship. About the Commonwealth at 75 resource. In 2024, the Commonwealth celebrates its 75th anniversary with an archival resource showcasing the scale and influence of its 56 member countries. Published by the official royal publisher St. James House, Commonwealth at 75 includes a feature on Prince of Peace Lutheran College. While copies of Commonwealth at 75 will be displayed in Buckingham Palace and added to archival records, four copies have been gifted to our community which will be shared with students, staff and community members upon Mr Simon Hughes return. #c75 #passion #opportunity #Purpose
