And since then we’ve made good on over 300,000 Aussie dreams. Today we offer a full suite of banking services, but our philosophy remains the same.     Today, Bank of Queensland, ME Bank and Virgin Money Australia has placed its customers on notice through an important and unambiguous update to its deposit product terms and conditions to make clear that we will not tolerate the misuse of our products and services to perpetrate financial abuse. We know that perpetrators misuse services like banking, insurance, superannuation, telecommunications, energy, water, and technology to threaten victim-survivors or accrue debts in their name, leaving them financially decimated. We want that to stop. While this is an important step, we acknowledge there is more to be done. We are committed to continuing this work by collaborating with the sector and with consumer advocates to ensure our products are not used as vehicles for abuse.     We did good. $261k of it. On Sunday 12 May, 118 ME and BOQ Group staff tied their shoelaces, accessorised in pink, and hit the running track to raise awareness and funds to fight breast and ovarian cancer for the Mother's Day Classic Foundation. This was the 20th year that we were Major Partner of the Mother’s Day Classic – a major milestone for ME and our people. Highlights. 🎶 Across the country, MDC attendees enjoyed good vibes from Aussie artists, DJs and roaming musicians brought to you by ME. ☀️ In Melbourne we were joined by BOQ Group Chief Financial Officer, Racheal Kellaway, who attended the 9:20am VIP Walk with MDC CEO, Zara Lawless, and other special guests (like the ME Mascot). How much did we fundraise? ❤ Together with the MDC community, we raised a total of $261K in donations on ME’s Matched Giving Day on Tuesday 7 May. ❤ Team ME2024 raised $47,122.50* from our events and fundraising activity across the country. A big thank you from ME to our partner @MothersDayClassic for our 20th year of doing good. #DoingGoodFeelsGood #MDC2024. *This amount also includes the $30,000 feel good donation from ME on the Matched Giving Day.
