In a first for Journey Beyond, we see the release of a special travel coffee table book, ‘The Journey’, sharing the rich history of Australia's rail network, and the dramatic and diverse landscapes our trains travel through. Featuring the iconic Ghan, Indian Pacific, Great Southern, and Overland trains, this beautifully curated book takes readers through time, telling the story of the Australian outback, its people, and the pioneers who made it all possible. ‘The Journey’ serves as both an inspirational guide and a cherished keepsake, making it a must-have for any eager railway enthusiast, history buff, or traveller inspired by the idea of exploring Australia by train. The book is a tribute to the rich history of our trains, the remarkable destinations they traverse, and their lasting impact. Journey Beyond would like to thank Storyation who were integral in the creation of The Journey, along with the support from the Journey Beyond team, including CEO Chris Tallent, Executive GM Marketing Justine Lally, Content Manager Ella Chronowski and Creative Manager Jordan Davidson ‘The Journey’ is available now to purchase online at the Journey Beyond Gift Shop, select bookstores and online retailers. https://lnkd.in/gfGrxH2g

We are thrilled to share The Ghan, has been recognised in the TIME Magazine List of World’s Greatest Places 2025. For over 95 years, The Ghan has been an integral part of Australia's travel, taking guests on an unforgettable journey through stunning landscapes and remote outback regions, providing a unique way to explore the heart of our country. Executive General Manager Marketing Justine Lally says “We couldn’t agree more; our lady of the outback is an icon, and this inclusion is a testament to the continued investment in the experience with the introduction last year of our new Gold Premium cabins. Rottnest Express was proud to sponsor the 35th Rottnest Channel Swim, a 19.7km open water swim from Cottesloe to Rottnest Island, held on Saturday. The support for this long-standing event underscored our strong commitment to our local Perth community, as demonstrated by offering complimentary ferry tickets for staff, volunteers, and vendors involved in the day’s activities. On event day, the team transported approximately 8,500 participants, support crew, and spectators, investing countless hours to ensure a seamless experience for everyone involved. This year, our very own Sales & Marketing Executive, Abigail Colman took part in the event as a team of four. Each member completed around 5km as part of the total journey of nearly 20km, all while navigating what is known as one of the world’s roughest crossings. Reflecting on race day, Abigail remarked on her pride in representing Rottnest Express and expressed her gratitude for the support of her team and the wider community. #RottnestExpress #RottnestChannelSwim
