🚨 Key takeaways for Victorian businesses following Fridays Psychosocial Hazard Legislation announcement 🚨 From 1 December 2025 Victorian Businesses are required to proactively monitor and manage Psychosocial Hazards in the workplace including things like bullying, harassment and high job demands 👏 The legislation aims to strengthen workplace health and safety laws to better address mental health and align with regulations introduced in other Australian states and territories since 2023 🇦🇺 Victoria has experienced an increase in work-related mental injuries, which represented 18 per cent of all new WorkCover claims in 2023-24. These injuries are on average 5 times the average cost of physical injury claims 💰 “These changes send a clear message that employers must treat psychosocial hazards just as seriously as they do physical hazards, while also supporting them with the tools they need to create mentally healthy workplaces" Don't know where to start? We've unpacked this more, link in comments 🔗 #psychosocialhazards #workerwellbeing #mentalhealth

Another year in the rear view mirror and honestly one of the best yet. As a perfectionist and engineer at my core one of the biggest challenges I struggle with on a constant basis (in and outside of work) is glancing over the good and fixating on the bad to identify areas for improvement or opportunity. I still remember a quote from a mentor many years ago that "positive feedback doesn't help you improve." Only recently I have started to realise how detrimental this can be, because the bar never stops getting higher and you start to burn out. So with the help of Ben Lucas we started celebrating the good things we have heard from clients about what we are doing here at Foremind, because on reflection of 2024 the team have done some pretty incredible things. It's natural to always be on the hunt for feedback to become better, but it's also ok to celebrate the good stuff too 👌

A pleasure to share some insights on accessible mental health support as a benefit to increase retention. With the out of pocket costs continuing to rise mental health support is no longer accessible for most people, workers are more likely to turn to wprk based mental health programs for support. #workplacementalhealth #PHS

Our understanding of mental health at work is on the precipice of change. The language is evolving, conversations are becoming more open, and awareness is growing. We are starting to see mental health as more than just a matter of "good" or "bad. Workplaces are starting to understand supporting good mental health is good for workers and good for business. Workplaces that passively allow or actively encourage: -Bullying and harassment -Discourage help-seeking -Shame and isolate those who might be struggling -Resistance to change, using the excuse of "that’s how we’ve always done it Will find it difficult to attract talent and retain workers. Over time, these practices will take a toll, not only on workplace culture but also impact on the business bottom line.
