Melbourne Royal® hosts one of the biggest beer awards globally, with over 2,500 beers blind tasted and 400 breweries on show … This year Brick Lane Brewing has cracked through at the Australian International Beer Awards and picked up Champion Large Australian Brewery and Champion Victorian Brewery. It’s a huge moment for our team past and present who have spent 6 years building Brick Lane into a hub of beer passion. As a proudly independent brewery, we are also the current holders of the Champion Large Australian Brewery and Champion Victorian Brewery awarded by the Independent Brewers Association at the Indies awards last year. And on the Indie front, a huge shout out to KAIJU! Beer and King Road Brewing Co for picking up Champion Medium and Champion Small Brewery. On top of the Champion Brewery awards, Brick Lane also picked up the most Gold medals at the AIBA’s with 12 and also the Trophy for Best Lager (Brick Lane Natural Draught) and the Trophy for Best Barrel Aged Beer (Asylum). And a special shout to Kirrily Waldhorn and Matt Kirkegaard for their master of ceremonies expertise at the gala dinner... managing to keep 1,000 beery people enthralled from beginning to end!
