March at ASC has been filled with positive initiatives supporting our workforce, building industry connections and setting a safety-first mindset. Here’s a quick recap: 1️⃣ Our Australian Industry Capability Team presented at the Office of Defence Industry Support (ODIS) Supplier event in Western Australia, showcasing exciting opportunities for local businesses to collaborate with us. 2️⃣ We’ve partnered with WA charity Spark Change to introduce ‘Get Out and Go’ bags, available at our onsite health centres. These bags provide essential items for individuals experiencing domestic violence, offering vital support in a time when some need it most. 3️⃣ We launched ‘Safety Stops’ across the business, an initiative ensuring all our team members stay safety-focused and feel empowered to speak up. This helps create a safer work environment for everyone. It’s the little things that make a big difference, and initiatives like these come together to build an inclusive and empowered workforce, where every voice matters. #ICYMI

🚢 A legacy of shipbuilders From watching the first Collins Class submarine launch as a toddler with his dad to now leading a fabrication team at ASC, Adam’s journey in the shipbuilding world is a family story worth telling. “The work is interesting, and there’s a lot of problem-solving - no two problems are ever the same,” says Adam. “It’s a great time to get into STEM or a trade. There aren’t enough tradespeople at the moment so there are plenty of opportunities.” Read about Adam’s story below. BAE Systems Australia

Meet Jarred! He has kickstarted his career in Project Management, thanks to the opportunities and skills he will gain in our Graduate Program. His first rotation has him in the ‘upgrades’ team, where he is navigating the unique challenges of working on submarines and making sure the upgrade projects for the boats run smoothly. 🔵What makes Jarred’s experience stand out? It’s all about the support and flexibility. “Being part of the Graduate Program has so many benefits,” says Jarred. “It’s about gaining hands-on experience, connecting with leaders who shape your professional development, and the positive feeling of being in a cohort with others on the same journey. “My team leads encourage me to find my passion in my work. That’s rare in many roles. For me, this experience in the grad program is about growth, teamwork, and finding the career path that’s right for me.” 🔵What does the future hold for Jarred? “I love the idea of staying in defence - it really sets you up for a career for life. Ultimately, I want to be happy and feel successful at work, and I think the grad program is setting me up for that.” Jarred’s journey is just getting started, but one thing is clear, our graduate program is helping him build a solid foundation to learn, grow and discover the career path that’s right for him. #graduateprogram #deeperpurpose #defencecareers
