We were pleased to exhibit at Avalon Australian International Airshow last week, thanks to the support of the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation. The AROSE team, along with our project partner Fizzics Education, showcased the VR Experience that Negentropic is developing for our AVISTA School Pathways Program. We welcomed hundreds of enthusiastic students, industry professionals and defence personnel to our stand, and were honoured to have Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, the Hon. Richard Marles MP, try out the experience. It was met with amazing feedback across the board. We're excited to soon launch this experience publicly, offering an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at critical areas of defence aviation, including flight test and evaluation, aircraft maintenance and repair, and the development and integration of autonomous systems. Thanks to the Australian Government’s Schools Pathways Program grant, AVISTA will reach over 200 high schools nationwide, inspiring and engaging more than 10,000 students. 💡 Interested in getting involved or registering your school for a Free Show? Visit: https://bit.ly/avista_eoi We appreciate the support of our valued partners in delivering the AVISTA Program: Fizzics Education, Gilmour Space Technologies, Gunggandji Aerospace Illuminate-FNQ, Joseph Banks Secondary College, Nova Systems Australia and New Zealand and UWA Defence and Security Institute.

🚀 AROSE Member News 🚀 Congratulations to Nova Systems Australia and New Zealand on celebrating their 25th anniversary! As one of the founding members of AROSE, Nova Systems has been a key contributor for aerospace and defence expertise within our consortium. We look forward to continuing our collaboration to help accelerate knowledge transfer in applications across Space and Earth.
As we mark our 25th year, we’re looking back to how it all began. 🎥 Nova was founded by veterans Jim Whalley and Pete Nikoloff. Both are passionate about supporting the nation’s Defence Force and saw a need for an independent company to provide expertise and advice. Today, we are: 🛩️ the largest privately-owned Australian #Defence company with global reach, 👩💻 experts in innovation and advanced technologies, 🚁 relied upon to test and assure capabilities critical for national security, 🛰️ trusted to deploy and integrate complex systems and software to protect lives and communities. We work across Defence, government, emergency services, mining and commercial aerospace markets. Thanks to LeadStory for capturing Nova's story, to our co-founders for getting the “toys out of the shed,” Non-Executive Director Julie Cooper FAICD and CEO Dean Rosenfield. #WeAreNova #Avalon2025

It is so rare to have funding to provide a free program to schools at scale, let alone in-person at regional and rural ones, so I'm particularly excited about the coming year. My back of the envelope calculations for the AROSE AVISTA program shows the serious kilometres our presenters from Fizzics Education will be covering in regional and rural Australia in Terms 2, 3 and 4 this year. 🗺️ Nearly 20,000 km through regional and rural Australia. 🛣️ Travelling 60% of Highway 1 around the country. 🚢 Add another 1,000 km by sea (hello Tasmania!). 🏙️ This excludes all metro areas (we're visiting all capital cities as well as spending two full terms in both Sydney and Melbourne, so we can assume at least another 10,000 km here). Our presenters will be delivering important STEM Careers education into schools to inspire the future high-tech workforce. We'll also have our online STEM Challenge, VR Hub, a huge Teacher Professional Learning Program and Careers Events at locations across the country. 📅 Don’t miss out - register your school for a free visit today and learn more at www.avista.org.au #AROSE #AVISTAprogram #schoolpathwaysprogram #futureworkforce #stemcareers #afuturemadeinaustralia Leanne Cunnold Illuminate-FNQ Ben Newsome CF Nova Systems Australia and New Zealand Gilmour Space Technologies Gia Parish UWA Defence and Security Institute Gunggandji Aerospace Joseph Banks Secondary College
