If you’re lucky enough to be a provider of legal services, then I think providing some of that without expecting financial compensation is the ethical thing to do.' Our Head of Pro Bono and Community Engagement Nicky Friedman shared her views on the importance of pro bono with The Law Society of NSW. Read the article: https://lnkd.in/dR4TQBH6

In recognition of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (IDERD), our Cultural Awareness Network (CAN) last week hosted a fireside chat with Sheetal Deo, Principal Solicitor of low-bono legal services provider Shakti Legal Solutions. To commemorate this year's theme for IDERD, the fireside chat focused on the distinction between 'racism' and 'racial discrimination' through social and legislative dimensions, and systemic barriers to leadership pathways for culturally diverse individuals. It was an enriching discussion on important issues for our people and the community. Huge thanks to Sheetal and host Sam Turner for sharing your insights!
