MVA Member JAOPS has successfully operated Dymon's rover, Yaoki, in the first privately-funded exploration of a crater in the Moon's South Pole region. JAOPS developed and tested Yaoki's ground segment in record time and then deployed operations at the Intuitive Machines facility in Houston, TX, utilizing a portable Mission Control System to control the rover on the lunar surface. "JAOPS has demonstrated exceptional flexibility and robust technical capabilities by developing a lunar surface simulator and the complete operational infrastructure needed for the mission. This achievement places JAOPS among a select few operators with lunar surface experience, proudly earning us a robust 'flight heritage' badge, and elevates Dymon's Yaoki rover to Technology Readiness Level 9 (TRL9)," said Alejandro Sela, founder and CEO of JAOPS. JAOPS had already been recognized by MVA last year at the Moon Market Award ceremony for providing 'a uniquely competitive mission support service conductive to sustainable lunar activities' and remains a dedicated member of our community. Congratulations to the JAOPS team and remember—Never fly alone!
