U.S. visa screening does not stop after a visa is issued. We continuously check visa holders to ensure they follow all U.S. laws and immigration rules – and we will revoke their visas and deport them if they don’t.

At Gulfood 2025, the U.S. Mission to the UAE and USDA championed American trade, fostered global partnerships, and expanded market access for U.S. food and beverage (F&B) businesses. With 187 U.S. exhibitors—nearly 25% joining for the first-time—the U.S. pavilion showcased the quality, value, and innovation of American products. U.S. vendors reported over 2,000 serious business contacts, leading to $23 million in immediate sales and projected sales surpassing $195 million in the next year. U.S. F&B trade with the UAE totaled $1.39 billion in 2024, and events like Gulfood drive economic growth, strengthen international ties, and support food security. Deputy Secretary Landau’s Call with UAE Assistant Foreign Minister Nusseibeh READOUT - OFFICE OF THE SPOKESPERSON - MARCH 28, 2025 The below is attributable to Spokesperson Tammy Bruce: Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau spoke with UAE Assistant Foreign Minister Lana Nusseibeh this morning.  The Deputy Secretary and the Assistant Foreign Minister affirmed the importance of the Abraham Accords, economic cooperation, and working together to strengthen regional security.  The Deputy Secretary expressed enthusiasm for the ten-year $1.4 trillion investment proposal presented to President Donald Trump on March 18 at the White House.  The Deputy Secretary discussed the importance of regional peace and countering Houthi aggression to defend freedom of navigation, and ensuring that Hamas releases all hostages, including the remaining Americans.
