Under the leadership of Lamprell’s Director of Engineering, Kannan Iyer, the Chennai office represents an exciting new chapter in our global expansion. 🌍 Lamprell to attend WindEurope 2025 🌍   Lamprell will be attending WindEurope’s Annual Conference in Copenhagen from 8 - 10 April 2025 at the Bella Center. 🌍 Lamprell to exhibit at Global Offshore Wind 2025 in London 📅 We are excited to share that Lamprell will be exhibiting at the Global Offshore Wind 2025 conference on 17 & 18 June 2025 in London. This year’s programme, “Mission: Possible”, brings together industry leaders to discuss the actions required to meet UK and global offshore wind deployment goals by 2030. The successful delivery of recent offshore wind projects, including 62 transition pieces for Moray West, highlights our ongoing contribution to the global energy transition. 🎨 Celebrating culture, unity and teamwork in Chennai 🌸 Last week, our Chennai team celebrated Holi, the Festival of Colours. As one of the major Hindu festivals, Holi represents unity, diversity and the transition from winter to summer. Celebratory moments like these reinforce Lamprell’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, as well as one of our core values: teamwork. Following the official office opening last week, we continue to build our team in Chennai, which is already playing a key role in supporting Lamprell’s engineering, project execution and business operations functions.  Thank you to everyone who participated in making this a memorable and vibrant occasion.

Last week marked the official opening of Lamprell’s new project execution and business support office in Chennai. As a globally recognised hub for technical expertise, Chennai strengthens our ability to deliver complex onshore and offshore oil & gas and offshore wind projects. The Chennai team will support Lamprell’s core business functions, enhancing our operational efficiency and helping us to optimise project delivery. Among those in attendance at the opening ceremony were Lamprell’s Chairman, Dr. Ghazi Osman, CEO Ian Prescott, VP of Business Development Brian Mclaughlin, and Operations Director at Algihaz Energy (Lamprell’s owners), Jonathan Kennefick. The opening, led by Lamprell’s Director of Engineering, Kannan Iyer, expands our capabilities in engineering, project execution, and business operations. As we continue to grow, Lamprell’s Chennai office will play a vital role in helping us meet the evolving demands of the energy industry.

We celebrated International Women’s Day last week in honour of the incredible women across our organisation and our lives. This year’s theme, ‘Accelerate Action’, resonated strongly with us at Lamprell as we continue to expand our business. Recognising the importance of health and self-care, we held a ladies' get-together; some highlights included an energetic aerobics session led by a professional trainer and a postural assessment session. At Lamprell, we are committed to creating an environment where everyone thrives and contributions are valued. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event a success. 

🔧 Successful completion of major gas plant shutdown for SNOC 🚧   Lamprell’s Onshore EPC team recently celebrated the successful completion of major maintenance activities, which required a planned gas plant shutdown, for its long-term client and partner, Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC).    This complex operation was carried out in collaboration with SNOC’s mechanical and plant maintenance teams to ensure the safe and efficient servicing of key processing units.   During this time, the team replaced and overhauled the de-ethanizer, de-propanizer, and de-butanizer, which are vital units that refine natural gas by separating key components like ethane, propane, and butane for industrial and household use.   Complex projects like these require precision, expertise, teamwork and a strong commitment to safety. Thanks to meticulous planning and teamwork, the shutdown was completed on time, on budget, and without a single safety incident. SNOC’s senior management recognised this outstanding performance and thanked Lamprell’s team for their contribution.   A huge well done to everyone involved for upholding Lamprell’s commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
